If you’ll be in Toronto at the end of April, check out the new film, "Fight Like Soldiers, Die Like Children,” based on the best-selling book by LGen Roméo Dallaire.
The film makes its Canadian début on April 27 at the HotDocs film festival in Toronto.
Also on the same evening, one of PROOF's partner organizations, The Roméo Dallaire Child Soldiers Initiative, will host a gala reception and dinner at the Royal Ontario Museum. Funds raised will support the Initiative’s work to safeguard the rights of children in areas of conflict around the world. Click here for more information.
LGen Roméo Dallaire is a Canadian senator, author, and humanitarian, who served as commander of the UN peacekeeping force in Rwanda in 1993 and 1994. He is known for his work to halt the genocide there and for his later efforts to end the recruitment of children as soldiers.
You can also pick up your own copy of the book, They Fight Like Soldiers, They Die Like Children: The Global Quest to Eradicate the Use of Child Soldiers, by LGen Roméo Dallaire, by clicking here, or PROOF's book, Child Soldiers, by clicking here.
