PROOF travels to India and Nepal in January 2014. Our first meeting was with the United Nations Populations Fund (UNFPA) Kathmandu. The UNFPA works to improve the lives of women and children. PROOF and UNFPA discussed organizing a two-day conference and workshop that would bring together policymakers, womens' rights NGO's, and survivors during the "16 Days of Activism" against gender violence, a world-wide event scheduled to take place from Nov. 25 - Dec. 10, 2014.Read More

May was an eventful month for PROOF. Our benefit auction was our most successful ever, generating more than $35,000 in proceeds. Like spring’s promise, this issue of "Field Notes" is cautiously hopeful because, as you will see below, hope in our field is warranted. Thanks to a global wave of determined effort, we are making headway in the fight for universal human rights.

As we extend our reach, we at PROOF are working to advance our mission of building peace through visual storytelling. Our exhibits are traveling to areas of severe conflict, such as Goma, DRC. And we are partnering with a growing list of international organizations that strive to bring justice to survivors and stop human rights abuses.
