PROOF is excited to participate in a one-day symposium this Saturday, November 12th at the United Nations International School (UNIS) for the launch of Picture Justice's newest exhibit, (un)DOCUMENTED.
(un)DOCUMENTED explores the experiences of immigrants in New York City through a social justice lens. Trained by professional photographers and lead by human rights educators, Picture Justice students met with lawyers and activists working on immigration reform, listened to and transcribed the stories of local immigrants, and photographed their portraits for a powerful, ten-panel photo exhibit.
The event is free and open to the public, and will feature a theatre performance devised by UNIS students and a keynote speech from Angy Rivera. Students and educators are encouraged to register and attend!
Location: United Nations International School (UNIS), 24-50 FDR Drive, New York, NY 10010-4046
