Inside (un)DOCUMENTED
During the Summer of 2017 a team of ten social justice advocates gathered together to document the experience of immigrants in New York as part of PROOF’s Picture Justice program. They looked at the unjust mechanisms used by the U.S Government to prohibit the assimilation of immigrants. The team explored the work of the immigrant advocacy organization the New York Sanctuary Coalition, and followed stories of immigrants living in Sunset Park, Brooklyn.
The photo stories created by the students are featured in the first edition of the PROOF post - an advocacy newspaper that will be printed and distributed at schools in New York and New Jersey.
